This monster deceived enemies with an illusory shape, waiting in an abandoned arcanist's study for careless victims.
A mimic exudes a thick slime that acts as a powerful adhesive. Any weapon that touches the mimic is held fast unless the wielder succeeds on a DC16 save, and cannot be removed without a D16 strength check. Any enemy attacked by the mimic cannot move away without removing the adhesive first. Strong alcohol dissolves the adhesive, and the substance breaks down 5 rounds after the creature dies.
